I started up again on the trans-Canada trail, but only for about 2km. In that short time though we came across two school buses that looked abandoned but on closer inspection must actually be someone's house. The tell-tail sign...each one had a yellow Census form hanging from the door handle!
I spent most of the day was spent running along the trans-Canada hwy. A mixed blessing. Big shoulders, flatter even footing and a straighter course but lots of trucks whizzing by! I made it about half way down route 100 to Argentia. Mike ran the last 8km with me, which was great because my legs were getting sore and he was a great motivator.
I spent a short time running in my Canucks jersey today. I'm hoping it will be good luck for their game tonight!

When we got back to St John’s we took a quick trip up Signal Hill to check out the view. It’s pretty nice up there and you can see all over the city and the bay. I’m told that at ceratin times during the year you can see icebergs floating down in fron of the bay. They even have an iceberg tracker so you know when they are coming.
It’s also been really interesting being here with my Grandfather. This was one of his ports of call during WWII and he still remembers a lot of the topography. They even have a plaque from the naval ship he served on in one of the museums here. Pretty cool!
Only 28km left until the site of the ferry to Nova Scotia.
Tomorrow we finish Newfoundland!
